The next time someone tells you that there is no good new music anymore and that tunes in general have been shite since the 90's, go ahead and flick them gently in the bean bag, then softly whisper to them that they are wrong into their left earlobe.

Here's an early look at some of the great albums coming in the next few weeks

How to Destroy Angels - Welcome to Oblivion (out 3/5)
I just got an advance on this...Trent, Mrs Reznor & co. made a scary good album that sounds KIND of like a stripped-down NIN with female vocals...good, moody stuff

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Mosquito (out 4/16)
All we have to go on is the epic sweeper, Sacrilege which JUST came out today LISTEN HERE.  But they never falter and if Sacrilege is any indication on how bombastic the rest of that album will be, we're in for a real treat come April.

Atoms for Peace - AMOK (out 2/26)
Thom Yorke leads this supergroup with anti-nuclear power power.  If you liked solo Thom, you'll fit right in here.

Flaming Lips - The Terror (out 4/2)
Even though the Superbowl ad song, The Sun Blows Up is only an iTunes bonus track, the song should be a pretty good barometer as to where the music is these days...and it's a great song!

Add to that fourgy new records from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Strokes, Middle Class Rut, Johnny Marr, !!!, Phoenix, KMFDM, and Vampire Weekend and you've got yourself a fine list of new music to disprove the haters with.

Fun Fact #1 - All of the albums listed will hit streets before June of this year.
