Another big festival dropped it's lineup today...
Mumford & Sons, Cake, Built to Spill, The Postal Service, The Arctic Monkeys and Macklemore x Ryan Lewis are all headed to the Pacific Northwest to hit up Sasquatch over Memorial Day weekend this year.
It's a solid lineup and I was contemplating checking this festie out as The Gorge is such a scenic place, but I'm sticking with Coachella this year (and couldn't be more excited!)
In related events, here's a travel tip - when planning a trip around an event like a music festival, often times area hotels fill up fast (festival camping isn't really my style these days) or are prohibitively expensive. So what's the alternative? Renting a vacation condo/house can be VERY cheap (especially when travelling with a group) and there are myriad websites that hook up condo/homeowners with travellers to make finding such a place a BREEZE
VRBO.com is where we found our condo (kitchen, laundry, jacuzzi) for a 1/3rd of the price we would have paid for a comparable hotel set up.
Craigslist is another good resource but YMMV as there is no reference check when selling via this internet behemoth.
It's shaping up to be a GREAT festival season with so many great artists dropping new albums, I'm excited to dig in and start it up!

Fun Fact #1 - The first Glastonbury Music Festival was held in 1970 on the day after Jimi Hendrix died.
