Just looking ahead a bit and getting pumped for the new music train to leave the station after the dormancy of the holiday season.

Here's what I'm looking forward to:

A$AP Rocky - Long.Live.A$AP - 1/11 - I've already ordered this from Amazon and have eaten up every mixtape that A$AP Mob has put out over the last 12 months. I dig this kid's bravado and the beats are great.  Cold production, hot rhymes.

Major Lazer - Free The Universe - 2/19 - I still pound the hell out of the ML debut album over three years after it's original release.  Even though it's headed up by Diplo (no switch) all the leaks and teases promise a dancehall tour de force with more dub this time around.

Frightened Rabbit - Pedestrian Verse - 2/5 - I LOVE me some dreary Eurosobbing (Trash Can Sinatras, I'm looking at you) and these guys foot the bill.  Too somber and not sober at 1am and need a soundtrack?  Grab this record when it hits in Feb.

The Knife - Shaking the Habitual - April - Most electropop sounds like aural cotton candy and while that be great for chicks, I prefer something a little more moody and dark from the genre and that is where this brother/sister duo comes into play.

Some more records I'm curious/excited about:

Tomahawk (Mike Patton) - Oddfellows - 1/29
Atoms for Peace - Amok - 2/26
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Push the Sky Away - 2/19
The Joy Formidible - Wolf's Law - 1/22
Camper Van Beethoven - La Costa Perdida - 1/22

Other artists rumored to be releasing albums I will buy day one:  Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Daft Punk, Kanye West, and Arcade Fire.

Here's to a whole slew of great new music in 2013!

Fun Fact #1 - Having sex while sick can reduce a fever due to the sweat produced.
