Who's Gipper and where did she come from!?!
Well you have a LOUD, obnoxious, afternoon windbag named Tarbox to thank for the creation of, well, ME!
I'm just your friendly, everyday part time employee here at New Rock and lovin' every minute of it!
What is it, you may ask, that I do exactly? I listen to great music when I work, produce a few commercials for your listening pleasure, and laugh at Tarbox's jokes.
I'm excited to start blogging and letting you guys in on some great music, videos, my life with New Rock and any other wisdom that finds its way out of my brain.
These two together are magic! Yes, you may have seen this video before but honestly, does it ever get old?
Perhaps one of my favorite beginnings in a video.
Oddly enough another serious facial hair up close video. I bring to you 4onthefloor, a band based out of Minnesota that I can't get enough of!
I'm being a wimp and sitting it out today. A day of rest can only do good things for my arm. I'm gonna get a run in later but as for my resistance training, not so much. I'll pick up where I left off at Goals tomorrow.
On a musical note...
Here's a little somethin' my friend Jake told me about this weekend. I've become quite a fan of these gentlemen. They're from the UK and first debuted in 2010 with their two tracks Flaws and Icarus (which you should also give a listen). What I want you to give a listen to now though is their song Pompeii. In this video they are performing acapella at The British Museum. I looove me some acapella music! Enjoy!
Turns out I'm too strong for my own good. Throwing a left hook today and hit it just right with my insanely powerful arm and its a hurtin now. Have no fear, I'll be up and running either by tomorrow or the next. Otherwise I'll stick to some running and cradle my arm. I thought I did some good modifications today after I stopped using my left arm. Although I might end up looking extra bulky on my right side, little unbalanced.
Hope you all enjoyed the gorgeous day today! I got my iPod out and had some Kings of Leon and Pearl Jam keeping me company while I sat out and soaked up the sun today. Have a great night!
Another week ahead of us folks. I decided this week was gonna be ALL about intensity in my workouts. I absolutely DESPISE mountain climbers but I made myself go the whole minute today. Trying to push myself more than ever. Faster when doing the high knees, faster jacks, more reps with the weights... the whole shabang!
I hope you all had a fun Cinco De Mayo!
On a musical note...
Now, I'm not trying to play favorites here or anything but here's another song I had almost completely forgotten about that my brother introduced me to a few years ago. I searched the internet for better quality but unfortunately this is all I could find. It does it's job though. This is the band Hardcore Superstars with their song Shame. These guys have been around for quite some time, so this song may be a few years old but it'd still hold it's own in today's music. BY the way, does the leader singer, Jocke, remind anyone else of Jim Carrey in The Mask?? I know I can't be alone in this. Enjoy!
