Who's Gipper and where did she come from!?!
Well you have a LOUD, obnoxious, afternoon windbag named Tarbox to thank for the creation of, well, ME!
I'm just your friendly, everyday part time employee here at New Rock and lovin' every minute of it!
What is it, you may ask, that I do exactly? I listen to great music when I work, produce a few commercials for your listening pleasure, and laugh at Tarbox's jokes.
I'm excited to start blogging and letting you guys in on some great music, videos, my life with New Rock and any other wisdom that finds its way out of my brain.
These two together are magic! Yes, you may have seen this video before but honestly, does it ever get old?
Perhaps one of my favorite beginnings in a video.
Oddly enough another serious facial hair up close video. I bring to you 4onthefloor, a band based out of Minnesota that I can't get enough of!
Saturday was my fitness testing for Goals in Motion folks!
A little push ups, some sit ups, and the ever dreaded sports bra and shorts "before" picture. Yikes! That's never good for anyone. Then we ran the mile. Now, I remember back in the day for physical fitness, you all know what I'm talking about, I use to get the biggest stomach ache the night before we had to run the mile. Being older and more mature now (BAHA) I didn't do too shabby, I can keep a steady pace the whole time. That's HUGE for me, my P.E. teacher Mr. Davis would be proud.
Today was the start of my change in eating habits and the start of workouts. I am now fueling my body with the right foods. It's gonna take some getting use to but the coaches at Goals In Motion are UNBELIEVABLY helpful and supportive. They give you such great feedback and advice and we're only a few days into it!!
THE WORKOUT The workout was good! It was very constant and busy but it made the time go by quick and before I knew it, we were done! I'm going to have such noodle arms tomorrow. It's a good kind of hurt, I'll take it!
On a musical note.. I've been listening to my Mumford & Sons album alot this week and their cover of "The Boxer" featuring Jerry Douglas that was written by Paul Simon and originally performed by Simon & Garfunkel, is amazing! Put that song on repeat and close your eyes (warning:not while driving) Just one of those songs that only gets better with time and the men of Mumford & Sons were the perfect match to bring it new life. Experience it for yourself.
I'll be seeing you.
